N’Faly Kouyate is a world-renowned Griot (storyteller), master musician and multi-instrumentalist, best-known as a core member of the well-loved Afro Celt Sound System – a group which fused traditional gaelic and West African music, N’Faly’s solo project now pioneers a new style, ‘Afrotronix’, which is a mix of electro-pop sounds with traditional instruments – the kora, the balafon and percussion. Having collaborated with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Phil Manzanera, N’Faly’s an outstanding and well-respected artist in his own right. Just try and stop your feet dancing to the tap-a-long beat!
