King Athelstan and the making of England, a talk by Michael Wood OBE

In this richly illustrated talk historian and film maker Michael Wood looks at the fascinating story of one of the great figures in English History. King Athelstan (c894-939) is regarded as the first Anglo – Saxon King of the whole of England after his defeat of the Vikings at York.
The talk is hosted jointly by Bradford on Avon museum, with the Wiltshire Museum in Devizes and the Saxon Church of St Lawrence in Bradford. Proceeds from the event will be split three ways.
