CFBOA Monthly Meeting: Exploring Climate Justice

Price: £Free, donations welcome

About this Event

This online meeting will be led by our chair, Rachel Berger, who will talk on a hugely important subject with COP26 now so close:

‘Exploring Climate Justice – Its Roots in History and What Justice Requires Today’.

The general narrative on the causes of climate change focuses on the industrial revolution and the widespread burning of fossil fuels that followed it.

On Monday our chair, Rachel Berger, who is a Quaker, will introduce a video recording of a webinar presented by staff members of the Quaker programme on peace and social witness, who suggest that the root cause of the climate crisis has its origins in colonialism and slavery.

After the video, there will be time for discussion on this idea.
