Behind the Scenes with Troy Scott Smith and the Gardening Team

Troy Scott Smith and other members of our gardening team will lead you on a detailed visit to the gardens at Iford before they are opened to the general public. Time may be spent in the glasshouses over in the family’s private walled garden.

With some major border redesigns and new areas of the garden being opened up, this promises to be a fascinating insight into the work of the gardening team here at Iford.

Discover and learn more about the following:
– Future plans for the garden, including opening up new areas and revised planting plans;
– Key gardening jobs to undertake in the garden at this time of year;
– Identify and discuss various plants of interest in flower; and
– Feel free to ask any horticultural questions that you have whilst on the visit.

£25pp includes garden entry and a pot of tea or cup of coffee at the end of the visit. Participants are welcome to stay on and enjoy the garden after this special tour. Groups will be kept small to ensure full interaction with everyone. Season ticket holders benefit from a 20% discount on tickets.

10:00 – meet at the entrance gates to Iford Manor for this special visit.
c. 11:30 – enjoy a pot of Iford Manor Tea or Dusty Ape coffee in the tearoom after your tour, and then feel free to to re-enter the gardens again at leisure until they close at 4pm.
