Price: £40 per apprentice (no charge for accompanying photographer)
A day for youngsters from 10 years old to get “hands on” with narrowboating. Accompanied by an adult – who will come as their own personal photographer for the day – each youngster will be buddied up with a member of our crew. There will be an opportunity for all of the young people to try their hand at helming the boat, work the locks, be “bowman”, learn how to knock in a pin and tie up the boat, use a throwline while all under the watchful eye of their experienced crew.
Flotation jackets will be provided for each young person. A picnic lunch will be provided for the youngsters and their “photographer”. It will be long, full-on day – from 10.00 am to 3 pm – but will be so much fun!
