The Shambles

A passageway through time

The Shambles, full of old charm, connects Market and Silver Street, on the site of the medieval market stalls and features several old buildings including one of the only timber-framed buildings in Bradford on Avon, many of the others dates in part to 15th century.

If you look closely, the old Post Office dating to the early 20th century has a rare monogram of Edward VIII.

These days the Shambles is home to many of our independent shops s, Including Strawberry Blue, Leaf and Bean, Heathers, Tudor Cards and Gifts, Gilou’s and the Shambles Cafe
