Wild Water Warriors

Price: £Free

Welcome to the Wild Water Warriors of Bradford on Avon!

We are a community of adventurous souls drawn together by the transformative experience of cold water immersion.

Meeting at the serene riverside of Bradford on Avon, we dive into the invigorating waters as a way to rejuvenate our bodies, clear our minds, and foster a deep sense of camaraderie.

Unlike other groups, our club is a haven for everyone – irrespective of gender, age, or background. Inspired by the ethos of unity, resilience, and self-discovery, we invite you to break through the ice, challenge the ordinary, and immerse yourself in a journey of self-exploration and communal bonding.

Join us in embracing the chill, celebrating the moment, and diving into a community where every drop creates ripples of positive change.

We meet every Sunday morning at 8am – What3Words ‘enjoy.mermaids.give‘ – by the community notice board at Barton Bridge (sometimes called the Packhorse Bridge).

To forge a strong community and togetherness, we encourage everyone to either hug or handshake (whichever you’re most comfortable with) and chat, connecting while we wait for any stragglers, normally dipping by 8.10am.

Before we dip, we make time to pause and connect to our breath, before warming up with some gentle movement.

Then we move into the water together for a dip… some short… some long… but we all respect the water and listen to our own bodies, each person is different… and there is no prize for the longest dip.

As Wim says “The cold is merciless, but it is absolutely righteous. It goes past the mind, past the conditioning, past all comfort-zone behaviorism, past our weakness, and makes us strong. Returning us to our optimal condition.”

Once we have dipped, we use movement to ensure we can warm up safely.

This is all followed by a hot cuppa (bring your own), connection, and chat.
