Join ceramic artist Rachelle Corker for a bumper immersive hand building workshop in August!

Monday 4th to Wednesday 6th August, 10.30am-4pm + follow-up glazing session on Saturday 30th August 2025, 10.30am-1.30pm

During this workshop, you will get to spend a glorious three full days in our fully equipped ceramics studio making whatever you like, supported by an experienced ceramicist and teacher. You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to explore surface decoration using tools and slips.

Your expert tutor Rachelle will be on-hand to help you realise your creative vision, offering advice and guidance along the way, plus an extra pair of hands when needed for the tricky bits!

There is a follow-up 2.5hrs glazing session scheduled for the end of August (30th) where you will be able to glaze your pieces ready for their final firing.

Working with clay is a wonderful mindful activity and great for boosting your mental health and wellbeing. We’re a friendly and fun bunch, so you are guaranteed to have some lovely chats and make a few friends along the way!

 

Things to note:
+ Adults 18yrs+ only
+ Suitable for complete beginners to those who’ve attended hand building classes before and are looking for advice/guidance with their making
+ We have a fair usage policy for clay and other materials, so if you are wanting to make something large then there maybe additional materials and firings costs to cover this
+ We’ll have a 1hrs lunch break each day, so bring your packed lunch with you
+ Please inform us at the time of booking if you have any accessibility requirements (such as being differently abled, reduced mobility, neurodiverse etc) or health issues that we need to be aware of (such as balance issues, low blood pressure, allergies etc).
+ Courses are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please check you can attend the date/time before booking as mistakes cannot be rectified afterwards, and we can’t reimburse you or offer catch-ups for any missed sessions. We are a small business and need classes to run at full occupancy so we can keep the lights on and our bellies full!
