WARPed is a social textile-crafts group inspired by Radical Craft.
Radical Craft is inspired by a belief that people don’t need to be formally trained to be creative, there’s a focus on inclusivity and accessibility, and craft can be a form of community activism or a mechanism to address social and political concerns.
Bring along whatever textile craft project you wish – anything that’s quite portable such as knitting, crochet, embroidery, hand sewing, needle felting, patchwork and quilting.
We’re also working on a group project for WEFT exhibition later this year which people can choose to take part in if they wish.
Meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Refreshments available.
