Sauces are the foundation of French gastronomy and many other international cuisine styles. Executive Chef Matthew Briddon will lead you through the preparation of the five classic sauces and teach you how to avoid common mistakes that are easily made.
You will also learn to make stocks, the art of making ‘proper’ gravy to accompany your Sunday roast, as well as how to turn your homemade stock into a restaurant quality jus.
The day includes refreshments, a delicious 2-course lunch in Iford Manor Kitchen’s restaurant, and all materials and ingredients required for the course. You will also be given recipes and notes to take home with you.
