Phil Maguire’s talk puts the rise of the electric car into a historical emissions context, looks into the environmental pros and cons of EVs, overviews the various types of EV and discusses factors influencing where things go from here. The intention is to generate lots of questions and stimulate a lively discussion.
Phil has an engineering background and many years in the car industry, including several in emissions and powertrain systems development. He is passionate about informed discussion on environmental issues and is a keen cycle tourist and mountain walker.
