ARIEL LANYI

Price: £12 / £7 U18s + students (includes £2 booking fee)

In 2021 Ariel Lanyi was a prize winner in the inaugural Young Classical Artists Trust (London) and Concert Artists Guild (New York) international competitions. In his WMC debut, the Israeli pianist presents two large-scale works: Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood, where the composer interweaves themes that inspire early memories, contrasts with the might of Beethoven’s Hammerklavier Sonata, widely considered as one of the most important and technically challenging works in the classical piano repertoire.
