Join us for 6 weeks of hand building in clay, suitable for complete beginners and improvers alike.
Tuesday evenings 6.30pm-9pm, running from 6th January to 10th February 2026
You’ll learn traditional hand building pottery and sculpting techniques using stoneware clay and put into practice on your own self-directed projects.
You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to explore surface decoration using tools, slips, oxides and glazes. Your expert tutor will be on-hand to help you realise your creative vision, offering advice and guidance along the way, plus an extra pair of hands when needed for the tricky bits!
Suitable for complete beginners to those who’ve attended hand building classes before and are looking to practice and improve their technique on their own self-directed projects.

+ 15hrs creative time, artist-led with tuition and guidance to help you realise your creative vision
+ 5× making sessions and 1× glazing session in week 6
