Cycling along the Tow Path
You can purchase a leaflet of local cycling routes from the Tourist Information Centre for 50p.
The Kennet and Avon cycle route is Britain's most popular long-distance waterside cycle route.
From Bradford on Avon you can cycle west towards Bath passing the stunning aquaducts at Dundas and Avoncliff. It is a level 8 mile bike ride to Bath.
Cycling east from Bradford on Avon you reach the Caen Hill Locks at Devizes where the canal ascends Caen Hill via a flight of 16 locks.

Bicycle Hire
These companies have a large selection of bikes and easy access to the towpath.
Towpath Trail Cycles, Bradford-on-Avon, have mountain bikes, tandems, children’s bikes, tag-a-longs and Burley buggies. They also hires canoes.
Bath and Dundas Canal Company, Brass Knocker Basin hire bikes, trailers, tag-a-longs and child seats. They also hires canoes and electric boats.
Bristol and Bath Railway Path
Traffic-free 13 mile tarmac route connecting these two great cities.
En route attractions include Bitton steam railway, mills, sculptures and pubs.
Drinking fountains and toilets along the way.
Forms part of NCN Routes 4 and 10 (Avon Cycleway), with links to the River Avon Trail and the Community Forest Path.
Colliers’ Way
Attractive 18 mile walking and cycling route from Dundas Aqueduct to Frome, passing through Wellow and Radstock.
Follows the former Somerset Coal Canal through rolling green countryside.
Lots of interesting sights en route – pretty villages, historic towns, museums, sculptures and pubs.

Wiltshire Cycleway
Circular 160 mile scenic route along quiet country lanes in Wiltshire, forming National Cycle Network Route 20.
Connects attractive towns such as Bradford-on-Avon, Mere, Wilton, Salisbury, Amesbury, Marlborough, Malmesbury and Corsham.
Supplemented by a network of shorter loops offering a wide choice of distance and terrain.
